Deadlines for student support 11/12

HOME STUDENTS

Year 1

• Don’t wait to apply for financial help until you have a definite place on a course.
• Apply quoting the course you're most likely to attend but tell your student finance body immediately if this changes.
• To make sure you get your money at the start of the session apply by:

  31 MAY 2011(E), 4 MAY 2011(NI), 15 APRIL 2011(W)

Years 2, 3, 4, 5

To make sure you get your money by the start of next session apply by:

  30 June 2011(E), 30 June 2011(NI), 27 MAY 2011(W)

 EU STUDENTS IN ENGLAND, WALES and NORTHERN IRELAND

Years 1,2,3,4

To make sure you get your award by the start of the session you can apply now and no later than the 31 May 2012.

• If you live in England(or study in England if you are an EU student) you'll be sent an email about your first application from the NHS Student Bursaries Unit advising you to download a bursary application form from the Unit's website. In subsequent years you'll be sent a letter reminding you to reapply and where to find the application form on the Unit's website. If you live in Wales you should be sent an application form.
• Apply as soon as you possibly can to make sure you get your money on time.

Scotland

• Apply quoting the course you are most likely to attend but tell SAAS immediately if this changes.
• To make sure you get your money at the start of the session apply by:

                         30 June 2011 

Years 2, 3, 4 and 5

To make sure you get your money by the start of next session apply by:

                        30 June 2011

EU STUDENTS – all years

To make sure you get your fee award by the start of the session apply by:

                       30 June 2011
