RSM Global Health Young Leaders Award Sponsored by the Royal Society of Medicine (RSM)

In collaboration with the Tropical Health and Education Trust (THET)

Submission Deadline: Friday 7 January 2011.

Notification Date: Monday 7 February 2011.

Prizes: The top 5 essays will receive a free RSM Student membership (or free renewal) and; 1st: £700 (cash), 2nd: £300 (cash), 3rd: £100 (voucher).

Open To: All 3^rd, 4^th, 5^th or 6^th year medical students at recognised teaching institutions within the UK or Republic of Ireland, and with a minimum of one year clinical training at time of the elective.

Award Ceremony: 14 March 2011 during the RSM-THET conference

Topic: Opportunities for and barriers to achieving one of the healthcare-related Millennium Development Goals (MDG): MDG 1, MDG 4, MDG 5 or MDG 6 over the next five years

Word limit: 1,500 words (+/- 10%)

Abstract: 150 - 250 words
