Student Finance England

• Student Finance England is a service which started in 2009 for students who live in England.
• It  covers all new student financial applications from the academic year 2009/10 onwards. 
• By the end of March 2011 all local authorities in England should have transferred their student finance reponsibilities to Student Finance England. This will effect you if you started University in 2008/09 or before. Student Finance England should have written to you when they took over responsibility from your local authority. 
• If you are a new student in 11/12 there is a student finance calculator on the Student Finance England website which will give you some idea of how much financial support you might get and what bursaries are available at your preferred Universities. You can view up to five Universities at a time. Look under the heading 'Student Finance: an introduction' on the website.
