TV Licences
If you have a TV you’re required by law to buy a TV Licence
- If you share a flat or house with other people you only need one TV licence for the whole property
- Halls of Residence aren’t exempt – every room with a TV needs its own licence
- You can pay in full or by instalments
- Go to a Post Office or check the TV Licensing website for more information including current price and payment plans
- If you move house, you will need to transfer your TV licence to your new address
- If you get caught watching without a licence you can be fined up to a £1000(plus legal costs).
