National Minimum Wage

Once you have a job make sure that you are not paid less than the National Minimum Wage. The current NMW  is:

• £5.93 an hour if you are aged 22 and over. From 1 October 2011 it will rise to £6.08 an hour.
• £4.92 an hour if you are aged 18 to 21. From 1 October 2011 it will rise to £4.98 an hour.
