Deadlines for student support 08/09

HOME STUDENTS

Year 1

• Don’t wait to apply for financial help until you have a definite place on a course.
• Apply quoting the course you're most likely to attend but tell your LA, ELB or the SLC immediately if this changes.
• To make sure you get your money at the start of the session apply by:

  25 APRIL 2008 - if you're only applying for non income-assessed support

  27 JUNE 2008 - if you're applying for income-assessed support

Years 2, 3, 4, 5

To make sure you get your money by the start of next session apply by:

  25 APRIL 2008 - if you are only applying for non income-assessed support

  23 MAY 2008* –   if you are applying for income-assessed support

* 30 May 2008 for English applications

 EU STUDENTS IN ENGLAND, WALES and NORTHERN IRELAND

Years 1,2,3,4

To make sure you get your award by the start of the session apply as soon as you receive the application forms and no later than the 31 May 2009.

• If you live in England(or study in England if you are an EU student) you'll be sent a letter from the NHS Student Bursaries Unit, with your unique student reference number, advising you to download a bursary application form from the Unit's website. If you live in Wales you should be sent an application form.
• Apply as soon as you possibly can to make sure you get your money on time.

Scotland
