Ruth Hayman Trust
Small grants of up to £300 to support students whose first language is not English. Grants are given for course related costs such as fees, books and equipment.
A special award can be made of up to £500 if students show academic excellence or outstanding progress, a commitment to the community and/or to human rights or particular financial need. A supporting statement must be included in the application to apply for the special grant.
Applications must include an academic reference.
The trust’s board meets four times a year. Applications need to be received by late November to be considered in the next meeting.

Grants of up to £500 for academically talented students in financial need studying in the UK. Preference for international and Jewish students especially if unable to study course in own country. Apply on application form by end May

Grants of up to £1000 for students nearing the end of their degree facing unexpected financial difficulties which may prevent them from completing the course. Does not fund students entitled to receive Student Loans, childcare costs, retakes or medical students on an intercalated degree
Helena Kennedy Foundation
One-off grants to people who were denied opportunity to continue their higher education first time around. Applicants must be currently attending an FE or 6th form college and applications must be endorsed by the college. See website for more details and application form
