Don't know where to turn?
Despite choosing to be part of a profession where you’re responsible for helping others, asking for help is not something that always comes easily to medical students. Problems with money, accommodation, debts etc can really grind you down, leaving it difficult to concentrate on anything else.
Asking for advice is the first step to getting control over the problem. Most universities have a confidential and impartial student welfare service that will be experienced in advising on lots of different issues. If you prefer to go outside of the university, there are plenty of organisations that can offer information and advice.
Is juggling your debts making you stressed out and distracting you from your studies? Our guide explains how to get your debts under control and where to get specialist help.
